Q19. What are the implications for my student visa if I fail to complete subject registration by the scheduled date, do not settle my tuition fees by the payment deadline, or if my fee payment is rejected by the bank?
If you encounter any of these issues, your registration in the programme, including subject enrollment, will be rendered null and void, resulting in the removal of your student status with the University. The Academic Registry will notify the Immigration Department of your termination of studies. This may lead to the cancellation of your student visa or a refusal of re-entry to Hong Kong by the Immigration Department. Even if your registration status is later reinstated, you may still need to reapply for a student visa.
