Q17. Do I need to apply for a new student visa upon resumption of study after deferment or zero subject enrolment if my current student is still valid?
If your student visa has not been terminated by the Immigration Department and is still valid when you return to Hong Kong, you do not need to apply for a new student visa to resume your studies. However, if your current student visa does not cover the duration of your studies after resumption, you should follow the procedures outlined in Q6 and Q18 to extend or renew your visa before it expires.
